Chris Charles:
Rising Temperatures, Tempers, & Taxes

Why is Congress in such a hurry to cripple our economy even further? They claim that we are
under siege from catastrophic climate change; but are we really? There is a growing community of scientists that says global
warming is nothing but hot air, and the facts back that theory up. This doesn’t stop global warming fanatics however.
They continue to proclaim that the “debate is over” and these are the “facts”…
Global temperatures are rising! And they
are…by ¼ of a degree Celsius per decade since 1960 according to Dr Leonard Weinstein, ScD. This means that 40
years from today the average temperature here in Los Angeles will rise a whole degree from 70°F to 71°F. Oh well,
at least we have 40 years to find a new planet to live on. In addition, the earth has been warming .09°C per decade since
1880! The hottest year on record was 1940! It is Dr Weinstein’s opinion and the opinion of many others that the temperatures
on earth are not constant! What a groundbreaking theory.
Polar
Ice is melting! Not true. According to the University of Colorado, Antarctic ice has
increased by 43% since 1980 which more than offsets the loss of Arctic sea ice by around 200,000 sq km. Does this mean that
the world is going into another ice age? Oh no!
Polar Bears are dying! This fact is challenged by many scientists that say that polar bear populations are thriving. It’s
not like there is no ice left in the Arctic. Besides, slightly warmer temperatures are probably welcomed by the bears considering
they live in one of the coldest places on earth. How can a polar bear survive in 100° temperatures at a zoo in San
Diego if they can’t handle slightly less freezing temperatures in the Arctic? Don’t forget, polar bears know how
to swim! If a piece of ice melts, they can swim to another piece, right?
Sea levels are rising! The worst case scenario according
to the global warming crowd is that ocean levels will rise a maximum of 18 inches over the next 100 years. That’s 1-1/2
feet! Not exactly “Waterworld” now is it?
“Envioro-libs” claim
that carbon-dioxide (CO₂) is to blame for all this. They say that
CO₂ is a pollutant and a poisonous greenhouse gas that threatens to destroy
the earth. Yes, the same CO₂ that you exhale! Perhaps Congress should legislate
how many times we can breathe in a given period. Capping the number of greenhouse gas emitting breaths we can take will have
about the same effect on the environment as changing your incandescent light bulbs to florescent ones. Don’t forget
that plants ingest CO₂; the stuff can’t be that bad if plants need it for survival.
Currently, carbon-dioxide accounts for only 382 parts per million of atmosphere, that’s .038%. There is three times
as much Argon gas in the atmosphere. Interestingly enough 500,000 years ago there was 20 times more CO₂ in the
atmosphere. Without it we would all freeze to death. CO₂ is not a poison, although
it is a “greenhouse gas”. Other greenhouse gasses include such pollutants as:
Ozone- protects earthlings
from harmful radiation from outer space
Methane- a naturally occurring gas
Nitrous Oxide- (aka laughing
gas) used by dentists
Water vapor- the most harmful of all the poisonous greenhouse gasses
The fact
is water vapor is much more abundant in the Earth’s atmosphere than CO₂ is.
Does that mean that hydrogen powered cars are just as bad for the environment as regular cars? I guess we had better invent
an engine that only emits rose petals if we want to live to see the 22nd century.
Let’s
assume for a second that global warming is real and it will kill us all one day. Do liberals really think that taxing CO₂ will
solve the problem? Tax and regulate is the liberals answer for everything. Outlawing cars and businesses would also
reduce carbon emissions. Why not try that? We could all work for the government and drive a sailboat to work (since the rising
oceans will consume most of the earth’s surface)

Chris Charles: The Treasury
Is Spent

From time to time even the best economies
experience recessions for one reason or another, it is an unavoidable fact of life. Economies go up and they go down, preventing
an all out collapse is the trick. How we respond to economic downturns can make all the difference in the duration and severity
of the recession.
Most
individuals and companies do the rational thing when the economy begins to head south, they cut back, they tighten their belt,
they improve efficacy so that they will weather the storm. Our government has done exactly the opposite.
The Federal government is expanding, spending MORE
money, creating new programs. Since the beginning of the recession the Federal government has spent over one trillion dollars
on stimulus and bailout programs and that is in addition to the trillions we already spend every single year. It doesn’t
take an economist to figure out that spending wildly when we are already in serious debt is not exactly sound fiscal policy.
And when you consider that the economy is in a nose dive, this out of control spending is nothing short of lunacy.
As President Obama reminds
us constantly, this madness began under George W Bush. President Bush and the Congress bailed out failing companies with the
Troubled Assets Relief Program. TARP could have cost the taxpayer hundreds of billions of dollars but thankfully up to this
point TARP has only cost us a mere $89 billion. The Bush administration, along with the Democratic Congress, also passed a
massive $152 billion ‘stimulus bill’ in an attempt to curb the worsening worldwide recession. Not to be outdone,
President Obama along with the Democratic Congress passed a $787 billion stimulus in early 2009.
We were assured by the brain trust in Washington
that this ‘emergency spending’ was absolutely essential but what have we to show for the over $1 trillion spent
so far? Unemployment has gone from 4.8% in April 2008, to 8.5% when President Obama assumed command, to 10.6% in January of
this year.
The Obama
administration does claim that 3 million jobs have been either saved or created thanks to the stimulus spending. That equates
to $262,333 per job saved or created, IF you believe the White House estimates are accurate. And all this time you thought
the Stimulus was a waste of money. What kind of jobs are we talking about here? Power forward for the New York Knicks? I’m
really happy for the 3 million people back at work but what about the other 30 million people without jobs? If it costs $262,000
to create one job, then the Federal government will need to spend another $8 trillion dollars to get everyone back to work.
If $262,000 seems
like a lot to create only one job that because it is, the average American makes only around $40,000 a year. For $787 billion
the government could have created jobs for 20 million people at $40,000 a year for one year. Instead they’ve created
only 3 million jobs (allegedly), so it seems to me there must be some overhead somewhere.
As hard as it is to believe the government is not exactly shrewd
when spending your money. $7 billion in stimulus funding is being used to help make Federal buildings more environmentally
‘friendly’. The ‘greening’ of one building in Oregon cost $133 million dollars! Let’s hope they
did more than replace the light bulbs.
The Feds have also spent $20 million in stimulus funds on road signs that advertise (what else) the stimulus.
We’ve all seen them; the signs say something like ‘your tax dollars hard at work’. And what says ‘tax
dollars hard at work’ more than signs that cost taxpayers around $10,000 each? The dollars may be at work but people
sure aren’t. Couldn’t they at least hire one of those guys that hold signs on street corners to do this? That
would at least create a few actual jobs.

Chris Charles: Department Of
Injustice

The first thing Eric Holder did when he became
Attorney General in early 2009 was tell us all that the United States was a ‘nation of cowards’ regarding racial
issues. He had heard Barack Obama had been elected President of the United States, right? How did Eric Holder, himself a black
man, get to be the Attorney General of the United States if the US was so 'cowardly'?
The Attorney General, like most liberals, sees racism everywhere
he looks. Arizona tries to crack down on illegal immigration, RACISM. White cop accidentally shoots a black suspect, RACISM.
He sees racism nearly everywhere except for where it really exists.
On Election Day 2008, when Barack Obama won the Presidency in spite of all of the racist ‘crackers’
out there, two members of the New Black Panthers stood in front of a Philadelphia polling placing with nightsticks. They told
white voters that ‘no matter what a black man was going to win’. I don’t know about you but if I see guys
in paramilitary uniforms with tattoos on their face brandishing a weapon telling all the ‘crackas’ they’re
about to be ruled by the black man, I’m outta there.
Imagine for a second that the roles were reversed and two Klan members were holding
nightsticks calling black people ‘N-words’ and telling them that a white man was going to rule them. How
fast would the two racist white boys be tried, convicted, and sentenced to long prison terms for voter intimidation and hate
crimes? However since the offending persons in this case are black, Eric Holder and the Obama Administration felt this wasn’t
a big deal. Justice Department lawyers had the case already won when word came down from on high in the Administration to
drop the case. The two men got off scot-free, after they promised to not to brandish weapons in front of polling places in
the future.
Now we
find out the two men that Eric Holder refuses to prosecute were not just a couple of overzealous Obama supporters, they are
in fact hard core militant black supremacists with a deep hatred of white people. The National Geographic Channel did a story
about one of the men, King Samir Shabazz. Shabazz is on camera saying, ‘I hate white people, all of them, I hate every
iota of a cracka’. He goes on to talk about ‘cracka whores’, killing ‘crackers’, and their ‘cracka’
babies and still Eric Holder is silent. What would Holder say if a WHITE attorney General of a WHITE Republican President
refused to prosecute some WHITE boys that intimidated votes and talked about killing black babies?
Who is the ‘coward’ now? Racism
is deplorable regardless of who is the victim. Just because target of the bigotry is white doesn’t make it alright.
The Obama Administration is worried about mysterious, right wing militias that may or may not exist. Meantime there are black
power groups that go on television and freely admit their desire to kill ‘whitey’ and advocate the violent overthrow
the American government yet Holder says and does nothing. But you can bet they’ll be investigating if any person of
Latin heritage gets so much as a parking ticket in Arizona.

Chris Charles: No Room For Space

The White House is getting the National
Aeronautics and Space Administration out of the aeronautics and space industry. No longer will NASA have the funding needed
for a mission to the Moon or Mars or even a simple mission to the international space station. We will have to rely on our
‘good friends’ the Russians to give us a ride into space once the Space Shuttle is retired next year. NASA will
however have plenty of time for other things such as studying global warming, fixing Toyota accelerator pedals, and reaching
out to the Muslim world.
Per the Obama White House, the government space agency will move its focus away from
space and instead will start focusing on making Muslims feel better about themselves. NOT KIDDING! NASA administrator Charles
Bolton said that the agency’s new focus would be to help Muslim nations ‘feel good about their historic contributions
to science, math, and engineering’.
When President Kennedy said ‘we choose to go to the Moon and do the other thing…’ I don’t
think he meant ‘we choose to go to the Moon and help Muslims with their self-esteem’.
I am all for making Muslim countries (that
hate us) feel good about themselves but what exactly are we making them feel good about? What contributions is the White House
referring to? What contributions has the Muslim world made in the last millennium? Other than the improvised explosive device
or IED, Muslim nations haven’t made any significant contributions to the world in centuries.
How is this even going to work? I wasn’t
aware Muslim nations had space agencies that NASA could ‘reach out’ to. Is there a Syrian made Space Shuttle I
haven’t heard of yet? As far as I know, the only rockets in the Middle East are the unguided ones that the Palestinians
launch against the Israelis.
Are there scientists in Iraq or Uzbekistan right now just dying to share their theories on quantum physics with American
Physicists? Doubtful, finding a scientist in the Middle East would be harder than finding a conservative at the White House.
That’s not to say that there are no Muslim scientists; to the contrary there are plenty of Muslim scientists they’re
just living in the United States or Europe.
The Obama administration envisions NASA to ‘collaborating’ with Muslim nations on space travel,
only problem is backward Muslim Nations don’t know the first thing about space travel. What can they contribute? A Rocket’s
self destruct system? And what are we going to ‘collaborate’ on? The United States has given up on space travel,
remember?
